McKenzieBased out of Victoria, British Columbia, McKenzie is a children’s portrait photographer for Little Icons, available for travel as well! McKenzie is a warm, curious, loyal, and loving soul. She operates under a wonderful blend of spontaneity and adventure, and conscious intentionality. She values creative freedom and expression, and aims to soak up as much of life as possible! Most excited when travelling or horseback riding. Most hopeful sitting in the sun, on a beach, good book in hand! Her husband is her best friend, and her favourite kitchen dance partner! McKenzie could live off of donuts and sushi for the rest of her life and be perfectly happy. She is an artist with an incomparable appreciation, and ability to see and capture genuine, beautiful moments. While holding her art to high standards, she invites people to be vulnerable in front of her lens. McKenzie gains people’s trust, leading by example as a very honest, and open hearted person, herself. As an enneagram 2w3, connection and relationships are of utmost importance. McKenzie’s self-awareness and emotional intelligence are what drew us in! She loves that kids have such great imagination and with that, the ability to make almost anything fun! When it comes to her relationships with them, she tries to live by the rule of “be who I needed at that age.” McKenzie is a perfect fit in her approach to the experience and what she aims to give the beautiful little humans that sit before her: confidence, love, and the gift of being seen and celebrated.
