AlexBased out of Burk's Falls, ON Alex is a children’s portrait photographer for Little Icons. Alex has an effortlessly cool vibe that anyone would revere, this is only outshone by her genuinely huge heart. She spends her time in pursuit of adventure, creativity, and connection. Having attained her motorcycle license before her standard driver’s, she isn’t one to concern herself with the norm. She lives authentically, and thrives as a heart-led, down to earth, and just plain fun, human being. Alex is a person who will look you in the eye and show up, enthusiastically, with the gift of undivided attention. Forget small talk, she wants to know what’s new, what’s old, what’s lighting you up… tripping you up, and everything in between. She feels most hopeful when trekking in nature with family or friends, and "in those moments when you connect with someone about something, and suddenly feel like you're not the only one out there.” There is a love that exudes from Alex that is unmatched, you’ll feel it the moment you meet her. She has a giver's heart. Alex is a graduate from Ryerson University. Her love for creating means you can often find her making or building things out of almost any material. Inspired by her own kids, she hopes to share this enthusiasm for creative exploration and one day open an experiential art studio for littles in Northern Ontario. When we met Alex there was this undeniable draw. We knew we needed her on the Little Icons team. When we got to witness her approach with kids, right before our eyes, to say it was moving would be an understatement. She is so honestly, and deeply curious about their interests. She loves their unfiltered imagination and ability to find joy & excitement in the everyday. Through these sessions, Alex hopes to give each child one of her favourite gifts in life: that moment when you connect with someone and suddenly feel like you're not the only one out there. |
